Washington DC Schools: Government Bait and Switch

When Fenty became Mayor, he spoke eloquently of changes and we hung onto his every word. Especially in the DC School system. We know changes must be made, but what is on the school chancellor's mind? Closing more than 20 schools? Where are all these kids going? They cannot possibly build enough schools in that short amount of time to house all those children.

Didn't we think Michelle Rhee, school chancellor would breathe new life into the DC school system? It was a simple bait and switch. We enjoyed the package and then found out what was wrapped up. Terminations and school closings.
